Ken Li

Review: WRITING IN STROBE is an animation project Ken Li did based on Pablo Picasso’s ‘Good taste is the enemy of creativity’. He “typed” the message on breads and waited for wild pigeons to eat them; through this process, he did something creatively and “tasteful”.

Furze Chan

Review: Furze Chan loves collage very much. Animals are always the key element of her works; most of her works are weird but amazing. FINGERBIRD is one of her favorite artworks; the bird heads were combined with fingers to form strange creatures. Her works awake audiences to think about life and the relationship between human and nature.

Ko Siu Hong

Review: Ko Siu Hong is a brand designer who did many art project, THE GORGEOUS RECHARGER is one of them. Working-class in Hong Kong loves to smoke at the stair lobby to “recharge” themselves; Hong printed an elegant chair on the stair, a simple step changed the experience totally.

Wing Lee

Review: AT HOME is a collaboration project between Wing Lee & Cathay Pacific Airline. The plant-like pattern and the semi-transparent surface, are inherited from the traditional Chinese tableware, it is a modern interpretation of traditional beauty. This project gives passengers the feeling of being home and spreads Chinese beauty all over the world.

Amber Fu

Review: RMM is a bi-monthly free lifestyle magazine published by Amber Fu, with a free-flow content, different destinations for each topic. The magazine is not only focusing on art, design, or lifestyle; it was designed to share everything related to our life and culture.

Tony Wong

Review: Owner and designer of the fashion brand WRONGWROKS, Tony Wong loves to play jokes on famous art pieces or pop icons; he alters them into something humoristic, sharp and controversial. His signature character DORABOB is a combination of cartoon stars DORAEMON & SPONGEBOB; the outcome looks so perfect, its charisma obviously is not only 1+1.

Clement Cheung

Review: Clement Cheung launched the brand CHILICHILLY in 2003, intended to design, manufacture and market art for living. This cup and saucer set is one of three pieces from the romantic cup series. The platinum plated saucer mimics the calm surface of a lake, the scenery on the cup will be reflected on the saucer to create a beautiful harmonic picture; it gives the user a relaxing moment.

Saiman Chow

Review: Saiman Chow is famous in the motion graphic & animation fields. Unlike other digital artists, his works are always hand-made and look primitive. In terms of hand drawing, collage, clay modeling etc, he takes audiences on an amazing journey in a virtual space. He loves to tell stories, no matter if it is just a 10 second TV spot.

Henry Chu

Review: Henry Chu is an interactive designer with strong knowledge in programming; besides, he keeps a good balance between technique and creativity. In this wallpaper, he used a script called “Processing” to generate the lively plant-like structure, which has impact as well as persuasion.

Karr Yip

Review: This is a public art project by architect and interior designer, Karr Yip; it is a decoration of a children library. Its form was derived from the mountain where the library is located and named after. Besides being just for decoration, Karr made it into a reading area. Kids can climb it up, reading and learning the landscape at the same time.

Netdiver asked all fab scouts to answer same 3 questions..

#1 – Biggest hurdle overcomed?

In 2004, my partners and I launched a series of cartoon products. Because I am the designer, I needed to appear on a lot of interviews, including TV interviews, and it made me so nervous.

#2 – Greatest moment?

My website got a traffic jam early this year, because some design portal featured my website. There were over 500 visitors every day and lasted for a month.

It made me recognize how influential Internet can be.

#3 – What next?

I hope to do more brand consulting works, and release my cartoon projects.

Biography

Chapman Tse, originates from Hong Kong, operating under Yellow Atelier, he is concentrating on graphic, character and branding design.

He emphasizes design with something funny and easy to be understood; he hopes the message behind his work can be shared by audiences with different education and cultural backgrounds.
