Blown away! Nando Cornejo operates the Blockmachine a project based on urban and nature structures and patterns. In the past couple of years there has been a resurgence of mirrored images and graphics throughout the industry, but this personal project has a clear-cut place all by itself.
Creating art worth adorning hotel walls is probably a great recognition of the worthiness of his visual explorations.



Mass Distraction
is a project by Agnelli Davide and Drori Tal created back in 2004, though the ground thesis remains very actual, even moreso today.
“A series of three jackets (the Coin Jacket, the Hood Jacket and the Game Jacket) intended to provoke thought and discussion about the idea of presence: physical presence no longer guarantees a person’s availability and attentiveness.
Often, in order to remain connected the people both near and far, the mobile phone user multitasks between the two communication channels.
Whether disguised or not, this practice degrades the quality of the interaction with the people in his immediate presence.”

The Crisis of Credit (Visualized) by Jonathan Jarvis is a smart and brilliantly illustrated complex information animation that is quite instructive in understanding (at least partly) the current US$ economic turmoil and why there is such a domino effects in the financial services.
This project is part of his thesis work in the Media Design Program, a graduate studio at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.

Nothing is a new commercial creative agency formed by Michael Jansen and Bas Korsten that just opened its doors in Amsterdam. The office is an unusual construction too, in that it is built almost entirely out of cardboard and is h.q. to building 4 in-house brands to be released in the near future.
If you want to make a splash in the design industry, finding such an original idea will definitely make noise around your brand, and Nothing is one heck of an example.

Firstborn developed this microsite for Sport Chalet. The Mountain is chuck-full of cool tricks: papervision API, perfect integration of video data tracking with flash tag element and a really nice 3D look.

The Firm List has been active for eons and contains over 15,000 firms in over 170 countries for graphic and interactive design. It is now run with the help of volunteers who check for broken links and firms they know in their area and the interface has not changed a bit for many years.

Freedom + Partners going flash 3D with their new website. Got mix feelings about this. From a usability point of view? A bit hard to navigate. As a little techno feat? No doubt.
Makes you wonder who does profit from developing such web experiments? Clients? Agency? Both?

Henrik Abrahams pencilled illustrations are extremely well executed and port the signature of one that has been drawing for a long time.

Alberto Cerriteno is a long time Netdiver alumni and as a Mexican illustrator living in Portland, he is strongly inspired by urban vinyl toys, alternative cartoons, and the pop surrealism movement. He has developed his own very personal technique and style, having always present a delicate hints of traditional Mexican artistic influences in his management of rich textures and decorative patterns.
Completely revamped his illustration portfolio, and he just keeps on getting better and better.

He’s always pushing to extend the scope of his conceptual work. Pawel Fabjanski updated his portfolio with new photographs.
