Tonangeber remixes

You’ve never seen a remixes website such as Tonangeber – a project by Ani and Beda. They make playlists and share them for free. Stunning project using generative design.

And a as stunning collection of music.

A sample of the shapes.

_______

ndlr: TwoPoints.Net designed a flexible visual system which allows to design a new cover for each playlist. The visual system – the “Supertool” was custom-made with Processing.

Subblue 3d fractals

Tom Beddard has a fascination with the aesthetics of detail and complexity that is the result of simple mathematical or algorithmic processes.

5 ? x 100 (d*)

5 questions for 100 designers is a repository of interviews (78 completed to date) initiated by Yevgeny Yermakov – a graphic designer currently based in Samara, Russia.

_______

1. What difficulties did you face at the beginning of your career?
2. What should a young designer do in order not to get hired by anybody?
3. Are there any things you wish you knew at the beginning of your career?
4. Are there any rules or habits that help you do your job more efficiently?
5. Would you recommend some books that young designers might find useful?

CPLUV / Neuarmy

Walking down memory lane. A rare discovery. Let’s Talk | Inside the studio of Ryan Katrina (Neuarmy) – circa 2010.

Who remembers Computerlove???

Frankowitsch / AT

Frankowitsch located in Austria is in operation since 1932 and looks like a mighty fine establishment. Super minimalist website that conveys vibrantly ‘classy’.

I could very well see myself enjoying the company of friends while degustating their fares. So much choices (pastries, delikatessen, wines) and that terrasse!

Meet me there.

Colin Snow

Colin Snow is an art director in LA. His atypical portfolio website whereas broken shapes from his name – keep appearing where ever you mouseover. New way to safeguard copyrighted material??

A type of Show #3

I love typography. Typography is entitled to be voted a long lasting fascination. Superbly conceptualized, crafted and staged – these projects caught my eye.

Rumor, an urban event dedicated to fashion and lifestyle depicts an over extended ‘O’ which acts as a close ‘circuit’ – of the 4 meshed into 1 events.

Designed by Tomasz Biskuprumor.

_______

Subtle or not subtle advice – love the iconographic feel of the – (L)EARN archival quality print available for purchase and designed by Neuarmy Surplus.

_______

Mockups of the graphic identity standards manual for the Ville de Charleroi (which translates as City of Charles the King). The modernization of such an ‘antique’ name is a tour de force.

Superb conceptual thinking by Pam & Jenny.

_______

Reminds me of the adage: the ‘buck stops here’. The plied shoe seems to do – putting a stop to ‘dropping’ text copy.

Theater Biel Solothurn – multi years awarded poster by Stephan Bundi.

_______

Melting moon surface + spiking waves infer to some kind of a music event. The diagonal slicing of capitalized letters in color give it edginess. Intriguing ‘Windows pop-up‘ appearing behind a wave.

RAW poster – designer unknown.

_______

To be caught between a rock and a hard place would not be whimsical if applied to this Rock postcard. Irresistible red striped (eye) candy type floating over a vintage picture of cliffs near Brighton, UK.

Deliciously prepared by Steven Wilson.

_______

Clay table setting staging and montage by Alexandra Bruel for the Fricote cover – issue #2. Superb hand-drawn logotypo.

_______

Gateways Exhibition deconstructed signage using uncovered books (brilliant hint to how book serve as imagination gateways) which is the central theme of exhibit.

Designed by Andrew Howard.

_______

Transliteration effect and play on words for the Stack Architects corporate identity by now defunct The Consult, UK.

_______

A huge labyrinth of underground rooms which follow one another for more than thirteen kilometers. The Karst Family series of 3 posters by Aldo Pullela.

100 Days of Making

What could you do with 100 Days of Making? You don’t need to strictly adhere to posting on Instagram and # tagging – as I, perhaps you prefer to take the challenge as a ‘personal’ endeavour. It’s all about committing to it.

Upcoming: April 6 – July 14.

_100 days of the Bubble Gum Dreamer_

Procrastination??? Lack self-discipline??? I do. Not in everything – not even every day – but when it comes to personal projects.. Yepp.

I am taking this little gal (0.5 cm tall) on a journey around my studio + living spaces. I will be creating 100 shots / one a day / strictly shot with my iPhone to a square ratio.

Still devising ‘where‘ to post it.
