Ever heard of “fischli und weiss”? This installationw was part of the Documenta Exhibition in Kassel years ago. The film was shot 1987 and is truely the mother of all Rube-Goldberg mechanisms…

My gosh 1987?!?!?
“The Way Things Go” is SO awesome — I have a well-worn VHS copy that I’ve had since college (nobody needs to know how long ago that was, but needless to say, I had a VHS machine).
Honda’s “Cog” spot from a few years ago owes quite a lot to it, but the OK Go video is completely on another level as far as imagination and engineering.
