Memories Project

Having lost my brother to cancer – I can relate to the agony of discovering you have the disease. Though not always fatal and great advances are being made, this am finding this poster titled the Memories Project, echoes deeply.

The stubborn (and beautifully shaped) killing cell is a reminder of how fragile we are. I have researched the ‘silicates’ which is the molecule responsible for my little ‘bro cancer. It turned out to be quite beautiful too – but deadly.

In memory of RIP Jack Layton who passed two days ago and who wrote in his final letter:

My friends, love is better than anger.
Hope is better than fear.
Optimism is better than despair.
So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic.

And we’ll change the world.
