Maira Kalman is a whimsical and ultra-talented illustrator born in Tel Aviv and now living in Manhattan. She has written and illustrated thirteen children’s books. She is a frequent contributor to The New Yorker Magazine and is currently creating an illustrated column for them based on travels to museums and libraries.

Our encounter with urban space is mainly volumetric and sensorial, but never planimetric. Instead, we live surrounded by maps, GPS and other geo-location systems.
Sitting tight? Better be. Meet Bram Vanhaeren. He is a 20 year old digital artist and published author. How’s that? He’s been developing his style since his first pen tool experiments in Illustrator about 6 years ago. Agreed!
His work is polished, trendy and already, he’s mastering quite a few tricks of the profession.
