Use the microphone to collect 6 city soundscapes, record them, download and mix! You've gotta see A Break in the Road. The intro movie is awesome and so are the different section animations!

Massive offer from Union Fonts: buy any fonts before August and get a free book and just not any book!

BURNKIT v3 launched with a new entirely XML driven flash site complete with a video about their Design Process in the Design Lab section.

Ever heard of a project so successful that millions have watch the story unfold??? Ever heard of a story that lasts 12 hours which will be all remastered? A story that has received rave reviews from all over? That a DVD is in the work???

Watch the Broken Saints trailer.

The Creative Group asked this question in a recent survey: When making hiring decisions, how much do you rely on your intuition or gut instinct? 46% of respondents said they rely very much on instinct when making hiring decisions; 49 % follow their gut at least some of the time.

On-going! The 8. edition of International Street & Open-Air Theatre Festival (FETA) - an event held in Gdansk. Cool site btw.

.:. FOLD .:. nice & neat Ts and site! Simple and to the point is the way to go - why attempt to whip foam! Just neatly show your stuff.

Some trail for Kevin Low who educated in the West returning with lots of degrees back to Malaysia! He's lectured (Harvard) and now consults and design unusual houses for unusual clients! Too bad the screen captures are tad bit too small but his wide range of work definitely stands out in small projects!

TMP001 is another explorative navigation site! Oh boy lots of boxes each to output a project! Fun!

Pick from Slide, Pure, Biz, Warp, Urban, Room to view Schech excellent portfolio and design prouesse in presenting so many different options (not all functional but indicative of what they can do)! Can't wait to see it all!

Tam Mei Sim is an architect with lots of flare and taste that err on the side of post modernist mix with traditional / classic / urban! Just LUV the work he has done!

Attempting to mix a better world with milkxhake which combines portfolio projects, experiments and interviews.

When will they ever learn?!?!? Reported by Jarek. Someone's just got ripped big time!!!

Now talk about a genial idea! Wonderful project! Des Animaux dans l'Ordinateur (Animals in the computer) is a website created during a workshop with a group of 15 french children (age : between 7 & 11). During a walk into the forest, each child was asked to look around to find some tracks of animals or other signs of life... After the walk, a website was created to tell what had been observed.

Click “Allons-y” to explore!

Basit Khan from motion to print! He has a minimalist, pop collage superimposition with end of the 60s feel with an urban twist... Making sense? Check his illustrations.

Something to think about! Ms Adriana de Barros has designed and produced “Freedom of Expression in the Copyright Era” music by Digitaria; presented by k10k.

kaleida* relates to digital branding - the site interface is intriguing... you can't really locate it geographically (although domain extension points to Chile) and the pictures looks like oldies... anyway they know their trade and projects span wide and large.

Although we have seen a lot of those virtual inner space designs, where you have the impression that walls are sliding and there is somewhat of a 3D perspective produced by line art and opaque fills, I strongly suggest you visit this recent project Galerie Baer to see an interesting design!

That is always the best news when a site that has been in netdiver directories for a while to hear that they are doing fine... well in this case doing really well in 72dpi and 300dpi flavors: Diseco has got a brand new face!

Want to refresh your desktop? Some wallpapers I designed are available for download.

themilkfarm they turn heads... new site!

“We hope to provoke thought, discussion and maybe even action towards changing the status quo. This world is what we make of it, and we all must do our part.” from Düusee Collective (read Do you see).

Thriving and improving all the time check KVAD.v6 updated portfolio!

Ouch! That's a touchy one! When to fire your client? by Kevin Airgid

TYPO magazine (print) has got .pdf downloads of back issues! Cool!

VOICE is AIGA Journal of Design with a compendium of online articles! To keep as a reference!

To describe Matthew Curry's style is challenging. Think grungy meet cuttingedge with an inclination towards using a palette that is mostly red, black and cream and related gradients! NinjaCruise is a terrific illustrator whose proficiency of works can get you easily lost. Many different areas all worth visiting!

Kold Kut Productions has no tag soup in their code (css layout only!) but has a tag style logo! LUV the color palette!

Tychomusic just launched their album preview Sunrise Projector! Hear it!

Very much in the tradition of boutique hotels a la Standard (Hollywood, CA) which I had the privilege to visit the 25hours Hotel is a cool enclave! Whoever came up with that name is a genius!!!

My First Wild Week with Fahrenheit 9/11... by Michael Moore

“Each day this week I was given a new piece of information from the press that covers Hollywood, and I barely had time to recover from the last tidbit before the next one smacked me upside the head... How can I ever thank all of you who went to see it? These records are mind-blowing. They have sent shock waves through Hollywood – and, more importantly, through the White House...”

Well done Tommy Vee DJ! Cool remixes and pix in the gallery!

How do you want you website? All CSS please! Infosion is breaking away from the the 2 / 3 boxy column model! Finally!!! Bring me more!

Corporate goes classy! Just LUV the illustrations and layout! Vestel claims to be a growing leader in manufacturing TV! Interesting how they convey this through their web site. Usually using a color chart for identifying areas (changing the color of each section) is a tricky decision.

Oftentimes it becomes a rainbow like confusing visual experience. Well how they've done it is by leaving a lot of floating white space! A smart detail: check the left side thin color bar!

Must read! The father of Smart Mobs and co-founding member of the now bygone era Well.com, Howard Rheingold delivered this speech to a finishing class:

“If your passion is to create culture – if you are a writer, a film-maker, a musician, a creator of video or videogames, a programmer of software, an instigator of online community, a student of media – you face a legal, political, and technical assault on your right to innovate. But at the same time, you have the use of the most powerful tools for cultural production since the Gutenberg revolution.”

III Mutador has a double featue set of projects - illustrations and photography! Check the Mutador Team photography section - they DO have this attitude! WOW promising agency!

Coudal goes wild! I mean wide! One of my fav site! From smallish and minuscule fonts to mega commanding attention... now! BIG and WIDE and new!

A bity late... One thing that I'm surprised of is why didn't all request for .ca domains not verified?!?!? CIRA’s on a witch hunt, and the first casualties are the wave of multiple suspended .ca domains dropping off the internet this weekend

When you have a passion for everything architecture mostly in urban environments, this is where the likes of Plasmatic Concepts a multi-disciplinary research and design firm, come into play! Now this dynamic duo has a long trek record of fantastic projects! Oh and by the way, return of the horizontal / right scrolling site?

This one, done with no scroll bar in a quick and efficient way with no flash! Worth visiting from top to bottom!

If you think information overload could not get worst, when you hit the Newsmap project which “is an application that visually reflects the constantly changing landscape of the Google News news aggregator. A treemap visualization algorithm helps display the enormous amount of information gathered by the aggregator.”

Make sure you read the concept brief!

We've seen that metaphor of the rocket exploring space over and over in ref with describing what the Internet is (virtual space) or the depth of one's talent (unlimited)! Prepare to see it in a complete different and new way via Finger Industries.

I know we've seen that metaphor of the rocket exploring space over and over in ref with describing what the Internet is (virtual space) or the depth of one's talent (unlimited)!

When is it that an almost worned out and seemingly out dated metaphor worth revisiting???

When absolutely capable of delivering a new one! Simple? Well maybe not!

Someone just met that challenge and took it far beyond! Finger Industries purveyors of quality goods - 2D animation, character and concept design for 2D and 3D, plus editorial illustration include a really slick logo aka cute avatar takes you within a large spectrum that sweep their imaginary space.

They are in the same top quality lineage as Moccu! The scenes are three dimensional but carried without a flaw throughout although even if evident that every vector illustration is 2D!

The panning of the different plans gives a sense of movement and each sequence either getting to a section or out of a section, everything is special and operating smoothly. They sure know about storyboarding!

All animations makes each click to a section a complete visual delight! There is even a comment that says 'admire the view' to 'see' a different perspective!

Don't miss the accompanying site Fingertees!

Rarely seen this! First the talent as illustrators is just fabulous, the site design is original and... when you pick either 'vector chic' or 'minimal' whereas minimal often means (unfortunately) a lesser quality version, stay tuned for a surprised! Outstanding performance all around for Lo Zoo Di Venere! Sweet smell of working hard people here!

Vector Brigade claims to be undefeated since 1976... although vector animations were certainly a futurist dream then. Watch their mini-movies! Their capacity to storyboard is wonderful. Well done!

A new portal on the block that claims to be a daily pit stop for all of your creative needs: Digital Refueler.

ANDY FOULDS Design updates his site and url! Check out the cool mouseovers!

Who said blue and red are best in a flag? Although this is a blog with a 2 column css layout - the chromatic palette is just that, blues and red... but mostly blue... lots of blue and it doubles as a portfolio site! Want to see a master in layering content areas and links with colors? Wanna see beautiful graphics in mini-banners that you wish to frame? And the mini icons?

Luv Justwatchthesky ) I heart you too.

Via idem, don't miss the AIGA Symbol signs to download free! Goodies!

A simple but striking fotostudio site, Orion displays consumate talent! WOW!

Fun keys!!! Source creative is an agency that uses well-known visual metaphors with a twist. Sometime I am just amazed at much time we spend trying to differentiate ourselves!

What a marvelous bunch we are!

Well this is an interesting way of showing photography! Oniram uses the images as background and nav as links to view. Mouseout of the area to see full picture! Creative!

Tangy colors with an edge for flash site comounaseta. Luv the background illustrations! Promising talent.

Seems like our 'log files' may have jammed all our disk space - for netdiver.net. Gosh - can you say 1.9 Gb?!?!? Which explains why the 'news' section was down most of the day. We have moved recently to a new server and the DEL log files daily was not checked. (mt) our hosting provider added some disk space. All is back up now.
