ndlr: Today is International Artist Day and to celebrate it yearlong – I have kicked off a new category on Netdiver: ART!

Stef Thiele is a painter living in Hamburg and happens to be the one artist – I admire the most. Her work is so modern and versatile. It can even translate well into marketing campaigns..

Having observe her evolution over the past year or so – is an indication of greatness in becoming. She is the first artist I feature on Netdiver mag. Not the last! Stay tuned.

Excerpt from her artist manifesto:

I am a viking. But despite my own uncompromising determination, my works consist of a difficult-to-describe mix of euphoric "what if’s" and melancholic “could have been’s”.

The yearning for spontaneity and freedom collides with the compulsion to try to foresee the future and plan it meticulously. This is translated into busy, colourful compositions that are seemingly unable to find a clear focus.

Often whole pictures are buried beneath the surface of a completed work, with only tiny parts of the past peeking through the hundreds of layers of thick brushstrokes and poured and thrown acrylic paint. Each picture is a battlefield – a back and forth between giving up control and winning it back.

Netdiver mag will publish again – weekly – and as of right now lol. I still hold a lot of appreciation and respect for creators in the industry. Guess I just can’t stop showing what inspires me.

Editorial addendum

Red hot on my mind is ‘content‘.. visual and written. What and how – staged or not – to show? What and how – personal or not – to write?

My eureka moment came when I realized I wanted to share my ‘explorations’ – as a big eye wanderer and record the ‘journey’.

That’s it. Simple. No limits – no constraints – no agenda – no schedule – no performance – no imaginary crowd to please.

I am on the ‘move’ creatively – an artistic explorer of sort – this is who I am – so who I am I – I will share.

I am thrilled! On March 3 launched my _first_ art exhibit (that include generative art + abstract paintings + fluid art).

Part installation as well as digital – over 50 works will carousel – on two vertically oriented MEURAL monitors.

_Going on Art furlough_

Netdiver Mag will be on hiatus until mid-March /18. I am embarking in a most exciting phase of my life: preparing an exhibition worthy portfolio of both generative arts + abstract & plus fluid art paintings.

On top of that – 3 print portfolios to showcase paintings + generative art to gallery owners.

A lot and lots of work ahead.
