The Truth of the Apple iPad Behind Foxconn’s Lies
In 2010, Foxconn was under the spotlight of the media due to the suicide tragedies. At least 18 workers committed suicides and 3 survived. One year on from the spate of suicides..
Rampant labour rights violations and harsh management remain. Workers always have excessive and forced overtime work. Sometimes, they have to skip meals if they cannot accomplish the production target. They have to stand for over 10 hours on shop floor and cannot talk with each other. They are exposed to chemicals aluminium dust but do not have adequate protection..

Shocking! Appalling! Unacceptable. I hate to see so much pain and danger bestowed on some for the pleasure / privilege of others.

Although I initially veered via his Flickr before finding his website (well one of them) I couldn’t resist the optimistic-lifting-my-spirit-up vibe that can be found in these two selections.
Sometimes to think positive can go a long way. Not just thinking different. But positive. So here’s to someone who made a difference in my life today.

Are you considering returning or going to school. You gotta watch this Hyper Island pitch that has the facts to help you take a decision. Such as 98% of students land a job – often times via an internship. In ref with the featurette production, this is a simple and efficient idea.

Now would be the right time to start planning what to sent as a perfect gift to every one of those difficult clients. Or if you don’t have any – (lucky are you) – hang it right above your workstation – so when you prepare a RFP or design job estimate.
