Presenting the new life of the party! “Digital Confetti is an interactive event installation with a weather balloon, projection, and maracas. Custom software and hardware is used to create generative confetti graphics, text and sounds as party goes shake maracas at the balloon.”
UVA are a British collective who currently work on large responsive installations, as well as performance pieces.
They create works that are curiosities, imaginative, explorable, interactive/reactive, emotive and powerful. Plus, LEDs are really fun.
Anita Fontaine work “affectively bridges the divide between the long-held distinctions between reality and artifice, imagined and real-world dreams, virtual and actual territories. Her explorations into new technologies are radical, free spirited and on the brink of innovation.. exploring mimesis through virtuosic displays of verisimilitude.”

Nils Voelker is a talented communication designer with a knack for experiments. Recently he built a robot out of Lego parts that is hanging from the ceiling on top of a pile of paper sheets drawing dots. It’s part of an art and design exhibition in the Netherlands.
The exhibition is about the way we look at things. While a visitor is looking at images of certain objects an eye-tracker records where exactly the viewer has just looked at.

Much of Kate’s work references Freud’s ‘Unheimliche’ (the uncanny, or, literally, the ‘unhomely’); the idea, to quote Freud, of ‘a place where the familiar can somehow excite fear’. It also embraces artistic notions of the Abject.”

ToDo SpamGhetto wallpaper is a spam-based wall-covering showing at the Design Crisis exhibition during the furniture fair in Milan. Unconventional use of the unsolicited annoyance produced by spam being recycled and software generated to produce a bitter-sweet experience of our daily misery.
