Obey Your Brain

It may hurt your eyes, because Obey Your Brain ain’t shy of using extreme visual bling, photographic artifacts and loads of.. animated .gif (!!!) to convey the creativity of the peeps hosting their music and art on the website.

Refreshing also, to see that such websites still exist. It means that the web 2.0 has not drain and silenced all possibilities.

You can buy some kewl shirts and accessories too.

Gridplane *up

JD Hooge (x Second Story) founded Gridplane 10 yrs ago, to help big and small clients bring their stories to life. Gridplane specializes in unifying practical user interaction with engaging design to craft unique experiences. As you can see, the website is all about sobriety, light gray background and blue / black thumbnails, links, etc.

He is well-know for his extraordinary dataviz projects. No slowing down in sight for this interactive veteran.

The Goteborg Opera

The Goteborg Opera house new website is a nice tour de force from FB (Forsman & Bodenfors from Sweden). The interface is enticing, navigation simple and detailed enough. Pick one of the featured shows, choose listen, and see what happens. Nice touch!

While browsing, each sections is well written and presented with photography and even video clips. For visitors and fans, easy to get tickets and even book a table for dinner.

Super Resoluut

Make room for the super heroes from Resoluut hailing from Amsterdam! The spanking new website is smartly designed and ads value to the service offering from this online communication group. They specializes in interactive interface design for websites, mobiles and touchscreens.

Hop over and see for yourself!

I Make My Case

Now if you want to have a superb experience designing your own casing – head-on out to Case-Mate: I Make My Case. Right-on! Find an artist you like (from a decent roster), pick an available case or design yours from a blank with the bits and pieces supplied by each artist. Paint, colorize, mirror or kaleidoscope it in real time and.. the best part? Own it for a reasonable price.

Smart push stating how the artists would have done it, and you can buy pre-designed ones too.

Verbatim monster

Fun! Couldn’t resist playing the Verbatim monster building championship website. Think they can engage in some kind of a fight but just seeing the random assemblage was ample (fun) for me.

Create your own!

Virtual tourism

Snapshots of Provence is an experimental website for the local tourist board which you can navigate two ways. Pick pictures on the left to visit by regions which includes small video clips or use the wheel on the right for an alternate navigation.

This comprehensive sound and visual experience is an excerpt from the travel book of photographer Thomas Duval and sound designer Tacteel and produced by UZIK.
