It’s wonderful to fall off one’s chair on Monday and that’s exactly what happened when Mark shared the link to Krystalrae — who creates clothing w/ daring pattern combinations designed for that rare woman who has the confidence to stand out, pioneer trends, and is never one to follow — website.
Finally something fresh – punchy – audacious – beautiful.. and last but not least – usable. The mobile version is as gorgeous.
Watch what happens when you scroll over the model. Oh! I’m impressed.

Symptoms Of An Epidemic: Web Design Trends by Espen Brunborg
Incidentally, this aesthetic inspires another designer who happens to be working on a website with a global audience, exposing the new approach to a whole generation of designers who, in turn, apply it at will (often without considering the context). A trend is born.
Can’t pass this one up. For once – an article on the ‘design’ part of the web is explained w/ convincing examples.. oh trends..

Mr. B’s website is what a collection of products should be about. Luxurious expanse of empty mixed in a subdued palette and gorgeous photography.
Love some of their copy – which is probably applicable to design at large as well:
Classic. It isn’t old. It isn’t retro. And it definitely isn’t sentimental for some bygone era. Classic has one foot in then and one foot in now. And always will. Classic evolves but doesn’t age. Classic isn’t a style, yet classic is never out of style. Classic doesn’t suddenly become classic again; classic is forever.

Oberhaeuser information and interface design. Information is beautiful and life without information is impossible. But it needs someone to filter the mass of information around us and turn it into something read and useable.
Minimal goes a long way. Beautiful website.
