Universal Design studio had one of the best interior design sites I had seen. You could watch the screen changes to display clients’ work. Clickicking on scrolling icons and new background loaded. Clicking on background and navigation collapsed, so you could see the sharp picture behind. That was then.. (2002)..

This is now.. Guess they’ve chosen to concentrate on doing what they do best which is extraordinary interior design. The website is less impressive – but the projects are! The visual constructs revolve often around geometric forms and shapes, strong architectural balance and repeated patterns.
Still jaw-dropping.
After spending the week-end reshuffling the (music) studio and moving heavy and / or fragile stuff around to and fro that room to another and back, struggling with one table leg that wouldn’t stay levelled for a couple of hours, until we found the solution (ain’t Google essential?), finding the right new place for instruments, mics and wires (lots), hiding an hideous closet door with a black opaque blind and using hardware from another.. whew!
I can assure you – this saying is now true to us (hats off JF):

Pino is a market place for unique, functional and innovative design objects. The idea for the concept camefrom the name of the shop, Pino, which means a ‘pile’ or ‘stack’ in Finnish. Luv the logo!
Looks pretty much like my dream store.
pS Arkitektur enhance their clients image and business capacity through innovative architecture and design. Their motto? Architecture for change. They take an overall responsibility for the project throughout the process – from conceptual sketches to finalised product.
See what they did for the Skype offices! We’re talking humongous (over the top?) $$$$$ budget here. Made possible because of M$ recent buyout???
