Chrissie MacDonald is a London-based illustrator, maker and art director and an active member of Peepshow Collective. She also regularly collaborates with photographer John Short on commissions for clients such as the V&A, Orange, Vitra, The New York Times Magazine, Creative Review and Wallpaper*.
Her paper montages and large scale commercial installations are visual jewels. The ‘believability’ level really makes them stand out!

Zim&Zou is a French studio based in Nancy that explores different fields including paper sculpture, installation, graphic design, illustration. Rather than composing images on a computer, they prefer creating real objects with paper and taking photos out of them.

This initiative starts with the idea of reformulating the function that has been given to paper toys or paper figures. This 3d building block can be customized or modified artistically by designers, architects, artists, engineers, kids, etc. to create one single piece of artwork which intention will depend on what each individual artwork communicate.

Jaw-dropping paper sculptures double-tasking as data visualization! The intricacy of the Pattern Matters projects such as the one featured, is mind-blowing – almost hypnotic. As being one who cannot see (for the life of me) see in 3D – this is exactly the kind of projects – I wish – don’t I wish – I was capable of.
