Elena Kalis is probably one of the best known underwater photographer. With Winter slowly making way here – I envy her current location, the Bahamas. Her work is superb. With a plenty of fantasy and dreamy quality – her models suspended in liquid make for the creation of astounding pictures.

Swiss artist Ursus Wehrli is releasing a new book on The Art of Clean Up, where he takes everyday scenes of disorder and rearranges them into neat rows, sorted by different attributes such as color, size, shape, and type, etc.

Digging the EleMenTs collection by Niyi Okeowo. Although these bubbling blobs over personea have been popularized by Non-Format that were using smokey swirls, geometric forms and shapes.
In fact, the opening project reminds me of these.

I really like the fresh approach and consistancy of the concept.
Space odissey extraordinary photography by Vincent Fournier. First and foremost, having access to the facilities is already a feat – but the ‘inside’ look into an area of activities that is locked behind doors affords quite a lot of value to his essay.
Quality of lighting, compositions are far exceeded and intriguing but not as much as the topic itself.
The Pink and Blue Projects are the topic of Jeong Mee Yoon thesis. This project explores the trends in cultural preferences and the differences in the tastes of children (and their parents) from diverse cultures, ethnic groups as well as gender socialization and identity. The work also raises other issues, such as the relationship between gender and consumerism, urbanization, the globalization of consumerism and the new capitalism.
Alhtough I understand the nature of the exercise – the sheer amount of ‘stuff’ needed for each pictures is throwing me off.
Compulsive? Excessive? Obsessive? All 3.
In this self-portrait photographic essay, she intended to create herself, instead of finding her identity. The human face seems to emphasize ‘who’ a person is, and gives some insight about the individual. The series challenges the viewer’s misconceptions and stereotypes.
