Eric Meyer is THE industry reference on CSS + ultra kind and friendly person. He comes across as one who is truly webevangelizing for the advance of the web. He shows a genuine interest on how designers will master CSS to deliver compelling sites for clients... with hard to resist arguments.

New Design Forte recipient: Boring3D! Anything but boring! ...some creatures are ugly and gooey, others whimsical and beautiful...

Although the site is a bit boring the work is jaw dropping.

Always been fascinated by animators in the caliber of Walt Disney whereas superior and immersive places were made available to our imagination. These animators are capable of such feat when looking at their work - we are taken to where they would take us. One look to one of Boring3D dailies and you will understand what I mean.

The diversity of personaes. The sheer imaginative factor whereas daily life objects, fruits, human parts are showned and are inducing a complete different way of looking at them...

The perspective throughout is brillant and each vignette is like looking into a different world... where incredible things can happen. Where the smallest can become the tallest and vice-versa.

Some make us laugh others make us think others make us sad... some creatures are ugly and gooey, others whimsical and beautiful, others square and others still, really weird... but all feel tangible! They look *real*!

The staging and storyboarding is simple but effective. The illustration talent is superior... and the 3D vision and tools are mastered throughout. That's not taking into account what is available in the galleries.

Immerse yourself!

I love the palette of the site - the very slick graphics and the flash presentation for * Northwind.

Mark Ulriksen illustrates strong statements with minimal ingredients.

Tune Out, Turn Off, Drop Offline by Kristen Philipkoski

“The digital divide is not just about the haves and the have-nots. It's also about the yawning gap between those who are comfortable using technology and those who fear or despise it.”

Interesting mix of color for the portfolio of Jamie Collins; the layout is simple yet you want to *see* all that is displayed. Good work!

soksok.jp: Not only this service is caching thousands of sites, upon their users request they appear as legit *referrers* on Google. Make a search for James Widegreen with whom we made an interview - and check the second page of results, you will see 2 other referred links to:

1) Peter-Paul Koch interview
2) Rene Barsalo interview

Pointing back to??? soksok.jp!!! NOT netdiver which is the content originator! In fact, netdiver is NOT even showing up as the *source* for this content.

A most offending fact that they appear in Google as referring to a site whereas, they are copying *others* content and appropriates it as if it was their own! On top of that, there have been numerous mentions on the web that they are replacing links in our content and pointing them instead... to porn sites!

A link was previously showing netdiver's content from soksok site! GONE! They can't access our content anymore! Needless to say I'm elated.

For those who have qualms, proxy caching - in this case for users requesting pages through a cell phone, reroutes and deprives us of legitimate traffic.

Thanks to Nels Lindahl from which I got the code to write the .htaccess and prevent access to netdiver's content:

______

Use this code, copy it exactly and paste it into notepad and save it as .htaccess (exactly that extension no name just that, remember the period):

<Limit GET HEAD POST>
order allow,deny
deny from 210.224.177.59
deny from 210.224.177
deny from soksok.jp
allow from all
</LIMIT>

Upload it in ASCII format to the main folder of your website or another folder if that is where your blog is located.

Don't worry unless you have the ftp program set up to view all files you won't see it b/c it is invisible.
