All images are digital renderings! Now isn’t that mind-blowing? Alex McLeod is in a league all of his own. Using Cinema 4d, Zbrush and design software, he creates fabulous landscapes that are soo believable – thought they were real-life installations.
Just studying the surface textures, lighting and formed shapes is awing and perplexing. Pay attention to the facing reflection in the first image – that show extreme attention to details.

Josh Keyes is a California based illustrator. His paintings and drawings display a rich, iconic language culled from a blend of suburban and natural imagery. Josh’s site features a staggering amount of work and a great, extended look into his sketchbooks and rough composition work.
Jörg Block extraordinary mind can apprehend complex information and turn into simple illustrations. His systemic approach coupled with sparingness of lines are making each illo talk amply while entertaining. That is quite a gift.
First, encountered his work while judging the Adobe Design Achievement Awards winning in the digital illustration category.
Always said that simple is complexity resolved and he demonstrates this to a level of clinical efficiency.
The three images in this series are probably heating up data parks all around the internet right now. Magnificient illustration achievement and astute concept of We put anything on paper are no doubt, rare to come across.
But there is a flipside that needs to be spelled out.
As always, finding great work out of context somewhat drives in a sense of betrayal. What? Like the curious case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hide. Great promotional advertising for Otavio Rios (the author of the illustrations) but what a disappointment to see his other work on his website.
So advice to heed, make sure your portfolio delivers the goods ’cause in this case, well.. they don’t.
