Opening index

Must say I’m pretty impressed by the opening index of Shannon Sewell – who is an extra talented photographer mostly working with kids. Not only the pictures are lovely but demonstrate the level of skills and professionalism..

But back to the index, she took care of offering different devices such as desktop – iPhone – iPad versions as well as a link to her blog.

Investing in your users experience? Priceless.

Watch Banksy Eat Cereal, Take Out The Trash by Matthew Newton

What happens when art imitates art? Honestly, nothing good. Look at Julia Kim Smith’s At Home With Banksy and it reminds you that the art world is always creeping closer to utter hopelessness (and self-referential obsolescence).

_______

After reading Matthew’s post – I felt so appalled – had to repost. No matter what – the ‘diva’ attitude is impermissible. This is pi-ti-ful! How much ‘pimping’ does he needs.. when you fall prey to ‘public’ life.. you’re done – you have eradicated the true self that got you there in the first place.

As creative people – we shall never forget – that having the need (talent) ‘to express’ goes with an as abyssimal responsibility towards an audience.. even if of 2-3.

Our talent is a gift of influence.

Olaf Hajek

Olaf Hajek is into a painterly style that attracts a lot of editorial commissions. Often depicts crowded over spaces or sometimes, which I prefer, completely minimalist. Overall is work is strong and bold and yet, can be very detailed and refined.

I am more than my face

In this self-portrait photographic essay, she intended to create herself, instead of finding her identity. The human face seems to emphasize ‘who’ a person is, and gives some insight about the individual. The series challenges the viewer’s misconceptions and stereotypes.

Dabs Myla

Cheerful character design with a classic semblance to Looney Tunes that’s what Dabs Myla do best.. as a couple.. two work-a-holic, mad dorks in a pod! After years of living, painting walls and working together they have only become closer, stronger and even more in sync.

The city landscapes are striking. Terrific work!

Charis Tsevis

From this, to this! Brilliant illo that appeared in the Los Angeles Times on February 22. Happy birthday Steve Jobs! by Charis Tsevis.

Plexman shots

Plexman truly shows how a pix is worth a thousand words. Luv their tagline: luminosity latitude clarity. Very professional. Very inspirational. Their portfolio doesn’t skip a beat. From dreamy to steel cold like. Brilliant!
