In the past couple of months I have been experimenting w/ photo apps and am now considering buy an iPad to take photo editing further. Nevermindus shooting w/ an iPad – but syncing w/ my iPhone library – would enhance tenfold w/ the larger view port – to export back to workstation in a digital pictureshow project I’m currently working on.
The only down side? Hate the inscreen keyboard. So a couple of weeks ago found the NoteBookCase for iPad 2 (3 to be released mid-May – but only available in Japan). Was pretty excited by the product until I saw this one. Ooooh!
Brydge a full-sized aerospace-grade aluminum keyboard with optional stereo speakers, connects to your iPad using a patent-pending hinge. You can pre-order on Kickstarter.

On the surface, that’s a huge sum for a tiny startup that has a handful of employees and no way to make money. But the lack of a business model rarely dampens excitement about hot tech upshots these days. As Facebook has shown, itself without ads or revenue in its early days, money goes where the users are.

Adobe Creative Cloud will be available at just 49,99$ / month this Spring. And that is.. if you think it affordable.
Well when it rains it pours. Everyone is hopping on Cloud 9 wishful thinking it seems. Nothing irks me more than a megapoly deciding to shove yet another ‘update’ down our studio throats because – there’s no other option left in the market.
_______
The vision of Adobe Creative Cloud is to turn previously difficult, disparate workflows into one intuitive, natural experience, allowing you to create freely and deliver ideas on any desktop, tablet, or handheld device.
Really? Difficult, disparate? Beautiful admission – best way to push a new product – is to canibalize existing ones.
Well why not fix it?
_______
While traditional licenses of CS software will still be offered, a membership to Creative Cloud provides more benefits than simply owning desktop software.
What? Traditional licenses. You saying that I am traditional for owning multi-workstations licenses.. Insulting. Working as a living as a ‘creative’ means I’m everything but traditional.
So what do you think? Step forwards or?

Tristan Perich’s 1-Bit Symphony is an electronic composition in five movements on a single microchip. Though housed in a CD jewel case like his first circuit album (1-Bit Music 2004-05).
Watch the video.

_______
1-Bit Symphony is not a recording in the traditional sense; it literally "performs" its music live when turned on. A complete electronic circuit—programmed by the artist and assembled by hand—plays the music through a headphone jack mounted into the case itself.
The album is available from Cantaloupe Music.
