The black on white grid is successfully incorporating complex information that could easily be overwhelming.

Also interesting is the Dmig online magazine format with nice functionalities as sharing (hidden behind the heart in a round) and transparent sections that work as seperator between previous and following article.

Nivard Thoes is an independent graphic design professional and hiw website is really original. Like the bold black on white headers and the boxed-in grid for navigation. As you scroll projects, navigation always stay on top.
