Goodbye Fiftytwo by Daniel Howells
Fiftytwo was an experiment in creating a professional network for creatives whose constraint was the ability to post just one piece of work (new, or work-in-progress) every week.

_______
It was my take on the “slow web” movement; a response to the deluge of Twitter posts where meaningful work updates got lost in the noise.
_______
7,975 registered users, superb design work posted, connections established between creatives, closed and private, meaningful feedback..
What went wrong???
Startup fail.

Dieter Ram design philosophy in 10 points:
Good design is innovative.
Good design must be useful.
Good design is aesthetic design.
Good design makes a product understandable.
Good design is honest.

Good design is environmentally friendly.

3 Ways embracing curiosity can change your life by Warren Berger

_______
Penchant for wondering and questioning has consistently led him to new ideas and fresh opportunities, while also helping him to overcome fears, broaden his thinking, and become a better manager of others.
The most successful ones to be people of wide-ranging curiosity who also knew when and how to narrow their focus, channeling their curiosity in a particularly promising direction.
1. Use curiosity to broaden your horizons and discover new possibilities.
2. Use curiosity as a self-motivating force.
3. Use curiosity to inspire and lead others.
_______
I am a ‘why’ person – to the point of annoyance. If something catches my attention – I will research till I understand – make sense of it – validate or infirm previous assumptions or just defeat my ignorance.
I never take anything I think for granted – I am always ready to revisit previous opinions. As a mentor once said: ‘You are ignorant, till you ask the question.’
Curiosity is essential to creativity.
