Back in February 09, Michael Paul Young got a call from Catherine Owens, the long time super creative director for the uber-famous band U2. Catherine came across our work and knew she found the team who could help with U2’s 2009 world tour (titled 360). After a quick stint of meetings in New York, we came back to the Bangkok studio and begin work for the following two months on numerous ideas.

Must read list of books that are simply impossible to ignore for anyone who wants to build a solid foundation as to the scope of what the Internet prime directive is about, how the network economy is shaping up, who will be the players and to amass a wide scope of insights as to the true role of design in the near future.
These have clarified and confirmed my early thesis about the future web. They continue to shape my original vision as to why Netdiver exists.. and where it’s going.
It’s really about changing the world.

Trust Economies: Investigation into the New ROI of the Web by Julien Smith and Chris Brogan
“If You Build It, They Won’t Come What happened to the early days? You built a baseball stadium, a store, a web app, and people flocked to it… now what? We are suspicious of marketing. We don’t trust strangers as willingly. Buzz is suspect. It can be bought. Instead, consumers and business people alike are looking towards trust. We want our friends to tell us it’s good. We want someone we know to say we should look into it. Marketing spend might start at awareness, but in the Trust Economy, communities are king, and ROI stands for Return on Influence.”
