Peopledesign work is people-centered. By walking in their customers’ shoes, they learn what they know, what they value, what annoys them, and what is missing in their experiences.
The website is a swell example of neutral palette meets airy navigation with striking visuals.

_______
Results page though is too much. Thumbnails are way too small. Making these bigger plus choosing a smaller selection would have convey their point better.

Digging Kolle-Bolle graphic collective identity renditions.

Though I like the idea of using large visuals to show portfolio projects, in the case of Public – sometimes the transition from dark – whereas navigation disappears – to light is too much and makes for a poor user experience. The simplicity of the colored squares navigation is ok but the opening empty index space is overwhelming. Important to make sure to pick meaningfully related backgrounds.
Best to keep it within the same color range palette. Something to keep in mind if you intend to use such an approach.

Daily Drop Cap is just what it says and initiated by designer and illustrator Jessica Hische. Since September of 2009, an illustrative initial cap has been posted daily (or at least regularly), to prettify the internet and beautify your blog posts.

Opening title created for the show MTV Hits for MTV Australia. The concept was really open, the only constraint? The presence of the color pink. Direction by boy wonder, Julien Vallée and awesome usual suspects team.

Pauline Schleimer is freelancing in the areas of art direction and describes herself as a graphic design activist. Her work is of superlative quality. Her concepts, creatively strong and funky with a penchant towards mix-media output.
Check her out!

Dumais Studio playfully illustrates the idea of fresh, pure water using a paper made set, complimenting the Ovopur’s neat and immaculate ceramic.
Nice staging!

Who is Frederik Garcia? Good question. One that won’t be answered otherwise than with the cool tees he hand-prints and how for example, he presents these is anything but the usual tee-shop. Let the movie roll – it is worth watching – mysterious – because you never get to see his face. Revealing, because you get to see his screen printing process.

_______
Playful out there collages show-off his super creative imagination. Check the collections. My fav is the Cinq Petits Rêves.

i like yellow (and so do I) is the home of Eleftheria Alexandri who is an illustrator, who currently splits her time between London and Greece. Her work includes editorial, publishing and advertising as well as bespoke pattern design.
Definitely someone to watch.

Keeping time! Furni creations slick retro industrial 50s meets urbania clocks. Slick lines with round corners – they look sturdy enough and precious at the same time.
Watch the video. You can even plug your iPod, iPhone to listen to music. How’s?

Gotta luv the lovely illustrations Judith Drews cooks up. The characters are so sweet – and have this dreamy quality that makes young and old appreciated them. She works for a wide variety of magazines and newspapers.

Cheerful character design with a classic semblance to Looney Tunes that’s what Dabs Myla do best.. as a couple.. two work-a-holic, mad dorks in a pod! After years of living, painting walls and working together they have only become closer, stronger and even more in sync.
The city landscapes are striking. Terrific work!

The quality and originality of Charles Wilkin‘s design is an automatic success.
Automatic was established in 1994 on Wilkin’s belief that personal expression is an essential and integral part of the design process. By blending elements of art, design and commerce together Wilkin is able to rely on instinct rather than expectation as a means to engage the viewer on a more emotive level. The result is a unique and somewhat unconventional approach to design.

Ok that is huh a most unusual of a way to illustrate. Peter Crawley, who studied and continues to work in the field of product design, actually stitches illustrations. The illustrations are created by hand piercing 420gsm watercolour paper with a pin and then stitching the paper with a needle and cotton thread.
Now you gotta see these.

30 Things We Need — and 30 We Don’t by Tony Schwartz
Do you have the feeling, as I do, that in the tsunami of everyday life, we’re getting too much of stuff we don’t need, and not enough of what we do? Herewith my first set of suggestions about how to redress the imbalance.

Illustration for f8, the Facebook developers conference. This was a 6 foot long illustration printed digitally on a glass table. The whole theme of the conference was rolling up your sleeves and getting it done… hence all the tools by Mikey Burton.
Would luv to design a table just like that. Nifty idea.

Meet the Knock-Man family! The fun sounds these wind-up figures make are amazing, but understandable when you consider the fact that these one instrument per one character toys are actually spin-offs of the musical instruments built for the MaywaDenki.
Awesomeness. Want them all for our music studio.

Typography mania and geometric shapes excerpts from Gareth Leyshon in his Design a day essay and I love Europe project.

Big Innovations Question the Status Quo by Warren Berger
How Do You Ask the Right Questions?
What if someone sold socks that didn’t match? In his new book Disrupt, Luke Williams, a veteran of frog design, talks about how that offbeat question was the impetus for the launch of Little Miss Matched, a company whose purposely mismatched socks proved surprisingly popular with young girls.
As for the ones who don’t stop asking questions..

Then use a slider to show recent projects. Follows, information about them, with links and other completed projects. And last, but almost as important, a newsleetter field – so you can be notified when they relaunch.
Get it?

Les Contreversions #1 and #2 are a photographic essay and original idea by (atelier) Les Graphiquants located in Paris, France. The four partners cumulate a large array of competences but what is striking me, is their determination to retain much of their ‘artistic commitment’ seeking projects that allows them to do so.
