Taipei City Museum of Art by Kubota and Bachmann Architects. Located in the south of Taipei city, in between the mountains and Dahan River. The museum minimizes its footprint on the original site in being designed vertical, thus creating an urban totem.
Eye candy supreme! Small environmental footprint too.

Sandy aka Cookie Cutter – is a pursuit to be everything but. She is a crafter from sunny Singapore. She handmakes plushies, totes, and paper goods. Handmade plush and lifestyle products. They are cute but in a quirky way. With elements of childlikeness and fantasy to the designs, they are a celebration of forgotten innocence and unrestrained imagination.

Have a look at the gorgeous SOHO of Garrett Murray, founder of Karbon, iOS designer/developer and award-winning filmmaker who decided to make the master bedroom of this apartment into an office.
Luv the mix of modern furniture, muted palette and splash of vivid colors. Niiiice.

Google Chrome Identity. Simplifying an icon by Office.
Collaboration with the Google team to develop a simple identity that embodies the spirit of Chrome. To maintain the equities of the previous mark, the logo is based on the same interlocking forms and colors. It was stripped down from the highly stylized, Web 2.0, glossy 3-D icon to reflect Chrome’s super-simple, fast experience in a way that’s refreshingly light and modern.
Wow never realized how ‘busy’ the 1st one looked.

Implicitly recognizable character design based on the product itself adds up for a packaging extraordinaire result. Earbudeez (Audiovox) by Fean Kojima and Jerome Calleja.

The hotel is located in Little India, Singapore – a bustling cultural enclave where Indian immigrants once settled, and the building was originally an old school built it 1920s.
Probably the most extravagant eclectic designy over-the-top.

Oh! Just sooo cute! What a great interactive and rich media website The Planet Zero is. As you’ve probably guessed – all about environmental information and presented with a sweet character – no other than Plug – the electrical plug.
The 3D fx world is believable and well integrated. The little movies are driving the point to make and overall user experience – surprisingly fresh and fun.
If you have kidz – they will love this.

Quotes are powerful. They are flash passing bits of light that storm and spark our mind with a new thought-path. Talking of which – off to reboot imagination.

Having lost my brother to cancer – I can relate to the agony of discovering you have the disease. Though not always fatal and great advances are being made, this am finding this poster titled the Memories Project, echoes deeply.
The stubborn (and beautifully shaped) killing cell is a reminder of how fragile we are. I have researched the ‘silicates’ which is the molecule responsible for my little ‘bro cancer. It turned out to be quite beautiful too – but deadly.
In memory of RIP Jack Layton who passed two days ago and who wrote in his final letter:
My friends, love is better than anger.
Hope is better than fear.
Optimism is better than despair.
So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic.
And we’ll change the world.

Eat thoughtfully is no longer an option (and a brilliant catch phrase – that nails exactly what is the state of mind we should be in – at least for the most of us). What One Iota studio did to brand Sourced Grocer – is simple – elegant and percutant.
Local – familiar – personal – beautiful.
Bravo!

There are kidz photographers and then, there is Jason Lee. He has captured through the years in such an extraordinary luscious candid imaginative anyway possible his two daughters. These two mischevious enthusiastic models – who, it turns out are total cuties, are also consumate comedians.

Refreshing and endearing.

The Eight Pillars of Innovation by Susan Wojcicki
As Google’s employee #16, she has learned a thing or two about innovation. Nurturing a culture that allows for innovation is the key. As they’ve grown to over 26,000 employees in more than 60 offices, they’ve worked hard to maintain the unique spirit that characterized Google way back when she joined.

I’m back! The past two weeks I will remember as the most important and significant in my life. A) Got married B) Took real vacations (had not do without Internet for the past 16 years C) Sorted upcoming projects priorities.
Feel charged-up. Feel focussed. Feel ever so determined.
As I go through my inbox and catch-up – inspiring projects will follow. Proof that I’m rested? Fumbling on the keyboard – photoshop shortcut and cadence of editorial work.

Watch Banksy Eat Cereal, Take Out The Trash by Matthew Newton
What happens when art imitates art? Honestly, nothing good. Look at Julia Kim Smith’s At Home With Banksy and it reminds you that the art world is always creeping closer to utter hopelessness (and self-referential obsolescence).
_______
After reading Matthew’s post – I felt so appalled – had to repost. No matter what – the ‘diva’ attitude is impermissible. This is pi-ti-ful! How much ‘pimping’ does he needs.. when you fall prey to ‘public’ life.. you’re done – you have eradicated the true self that got you there in the first place.
As creative people – we shall never forget – that having the need (talent) ‘to express’ goes with an as abyssimal responsibility towards an audience.. even if of 2-3.
Our talent is a gift of influence.

Visitors can create their own pattern using an iPad hidden in a small table (also laser-cut) standing nearby.
Must see!

Mauricio Pierro – hailing from São Paulo, BR – capacity to create expressive yet simply shaped characters is boundless. The humour is unmistakable. Just love his work.

MTV Bin Man by Simon Pike. Freefarm magic once again on sound design and music duties for this ident for MTV Australia. That character capturing junk and stuff is simply irresistible.

Aol Phase 02 by Universal Everything. A second series of reveal films created for AOL and launched at the New Museum, NYC. Used for web video, mobile, digital campaigns and outdoor LED displays.
